The Hunters Rail is the perfect setup for the weight-conscious backcountry hunter, with 2″ of Picatinny rail, an integrated sling stud, and plenty of usable Arca rail on a tripod. It’s the best multi-use rail out there. The mounting side is slightly radiused to match the contour of any stock, and the ‘U’ cutout area is designed to wrap around the nose of your bottom metal. Excellent rail and excellent customer service. I purchased this for setting up a youth rifle for my 12 year old daughter’s first hunting season. We installed the rail on a Ruger American compact rifle. The short rail fit just fine with the picatinny portion reaching a bit past the stock itself and the arca allowing plenty of room to not interfere with the magazine and bolts to disassemble the stock. I really like the ability to lock into the tripod in a variety of places to help balance the rifle on the tripod, especially for a new hunter. I got quick friendly responses from Ken when I sent pictures of the measurements of our rifle. I’m not a gunsmith by any means but I was able to install the rail myself with a little bit of YouTube and a drill press. Worked superbly in combination with Leofoto ST-324C tripod. My daughter just got her first elk with this combo, couldn’t be happier.

This is a great setup for hunting rigs. I’ve realized being able to adjust you bipod legs from the prone position will save you valuable time in hunting and competitive scenarios.

Good fit for my Bergara B14 HMR 300 PRC! Excellent customer sevice! I ordered the wrong size (need short rail) and SRS made it painless to get the correct one exchanged.
I did not use a mil for the 3rd hole (other two are sling lugs). With painters tape on stock I inserted a straight rod (fits tight into eyelet holes) into the eyelets of the lugs I then proceeded to move the rod down placing a mark at the center of the tip. With this method you can scribe a straight line! Then mark and drill your hole in an appropriate location into the AL frame. (Level the stock and use a point level on drill or drill press). Then install rail centering with screw heads and space between mag well.
